History

Stage @TheDock is the result of a major development programme by local business Wykeland Group, which has beautifully repurposed an area of historic importance, as part of a wider regeneration project for Hull’s Fruit Market area. http://www.fruitmarkethull.co.uk

Emerging from Hull’s Central Dry Dock, also known as the South End Dry Dock, which was built in 1843 to support the cities growing shipping industry, Stage @TheDock’s foundations are rooted in the past but very much looking to the future.

Located on the edge of the River Humber and nestled amidst a number of Hull’s iconic landmarks including The Deep, Tidal barrier and the newly completed Centre for Digital Innovation, it provides an epic setting which will enrich the audience experience and, no doubt, inspire event producers, artists, creators and community groups looking to present work and host events throughout the year.
